Last month I made these 50th birthday biscuits… sadly they never made it to their destination

They were sent with EVRI and were so badly damaged in transit they couldn’t be delivered. To this day, I still don’t know what actually happened to them, and I’m still trying to get a refund sorted.

What you don’t always see behind a small business is this side of things. When something like this happens, there’s no automatic safety net. No instant refund. No compensation for the time, ingredients, energy and care that went into making them.

In the meantime, I remade the order and sent them out again. Because EVRI not refunding me doesn’t mean my customer should miss out. If a customer wants their order resent, I will always do my best to make that happen.

But the reality? That means I’m out of pocket. Double the time. Double the ingredients. No profit at all on that order.

Sometimes things are completely out of our control. What is in my control is how I show up for my customers and I never want to let you down.

I’m so grateful for the understanding and kindness my customers show when things like this happen 🫶 It truly means the world to a small business like mine.

POV: you weren’t ready for this level of rocky road,
One bite and it’s over. For everyone!

400 g milk chocholate ( or white chocolate)
50 g unsalted butter
125 g biscoff spread
100 g mini marshmallows
1 pack of biscoff cream biscuits (broken up)
1 pack of mcvities gold biscuits (broken up)

Instructions
9x9″ Square tin with parchment paper
Add the chocolate and butter to a large bowl, microwave on short bursts until fully melted – stir until smooth!
melt the biscoff spread in the microwave for 40 seconds, mix into the melted chocolate
Once combined, add in the marshmallows and chopped biscuits and fold together – pour into the tin and spread until it's even.
Put in the fridge for 2 hours to set, then chop.
